Swim!

Logan started his private swim lessons this week with Miss Cerra. So far, so good! Logan's always loved the water as long as he was to the side and could stand but there was no way he'd put his face in it, go underwater or even let us take him in holding him without screaming. He even still freaks out to get his hair washed. We need to get this boy swimming already! After 2 lessons he is doing great! Only cried the first class at the beginning for a few minutes and not since. She seems to be a great teacher and as I watch from afar you can see them communicating well and they are completely focused on each other. As of now he has learned how to "Spiderman" walk along the edge of the pool with his hands, he can climb out of the side of the pool himself, he stands on the edge and jumps to her, puts his face into the water, kicks his legs, floats backwards and just today she made him go underwater! Now that part was funny! He was freaking out but she made him do it. He went underwater and put his arms out to reach for the side wall to hang on. She wanted him to do it 2 more times and tried to bribe him with getting more lollipops and stickers at the end of class instead of the usual one each. I heard them talking and she was up to 5 lollipops and 3 stickers and he still refused her deal and told her, "Maybe next time"! I have no doubt that every class he will learn more and more. She guarantees that her students will be swimming after 6-12 weeks so we will see. Can't wait to get him swimming!

More Practice....with Kira

I've recently learned more about my camera so when I came home today from work I immediately picked it up and wanted to try it out and play a little. Good thing I have a few models that live with me and are usually willing to give me some type of shot. Hopefully soon I'll recruit some new models, LOL! Here's a few of Kira today (6/19/08).

Logan.....aka "Mommy's Model"

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

We decided to go to the beach for Father's Day. Something we normally wouldn't do on a weekend but it sounded like a fun idea. We went in the morning so it wasn't that crowded there yet. A bit of overcast in the morning but it started to burn off later in the morning. Logan had such a wonderful time running in the water, rolling in the sand and building sand castles. Kira on the other hand was a bit cranky and only wanted Mommy. All she wanted to do was sit in my lap in the beach chair but for some reason she just refused to sit still. After a while of "sitting" with her I finally got her to go walk around and play with Daddy in the water. I think we all had a pretty good time but as some or most of you know it's a little hard to relax and have fun when you are constantly wiping sand off someone's hands or face, chasing them up and down the beach, wiping runny noses etc. I guess that's part of being a parent! Later that day we went to my parent's house, hung out in the backyard and had dinner there.

Father's Day Gifts!

The last few weeks around here have been busy with "special" days like Mother's Day, Anniversary, Birthdays etc. so I was over thinking of gifts to buy. I thought why not for Father's Day have the kids make gifts so that's what we did. Here's two stones that we made. One for Vic and one for Papa. They were really fun to do and really inexpensive. I recommend trying if you haven't done one already.

A few more photos!

Some of my Favorites!

Here's a few photos that I took myself from the photo shoot of the kids. The photographer was so nice and didn't mind me taking pictures as well.

I Love Child Photography!

I think "Child" photography is my thing! I am slowly learning more and more. It's just something about capturing their innocent faces or their ridiculous smiles and turning them into a life long memory! As you all know, they grow up way too fast so why not try to capture the moment. I would love to have more models (friends babies/kids) to work with so I can continue to learn as I go.

Well.....Lindsay got me Blogging! LOL!

Hey all! Well I guess Miss Lindsay got me blogging! I guess I am a picture freak and what better way to post my pictures and daily life for you all rather than emailing you 100's of times! Whenever I would wonder what Lindsay was up to I loved the fact that I had somewhere to go to find out immediately. I think it's great! Hopefully I'll figure out how to do this! LOL!
