I LOVE my Kira!
Today I had a "touch-up" photo session which was really quick so I brought Kira along with me so that afterwards I could take a few photos of her. For once she was so willing and ready to go have her picture taken. I guess maybe she sort of felt "jealous" that I was photographing other little kids??? We had so much fun together today and it was so nice out! We literally just hung out in the "boonies" searching for flowers and rabbits. To my amazement she actually and purposely smiled for me and did things for me that she would never have done before like lay on the grass, sit on the fence post, stay still etc. My little baby is growing up! You can check out more of her "session" on my photography blog. Of course I have to post a TON because with any kid I can never decide! I always have too many favorites, LOL! Isn't she so CUTE?!?!

BEACH Day!
Finally we had a BEACH day! It was cloudy in the morning but then got really nice. A few hours at the beach with little one's is all you need. The kids had a GREAT time and we adults did as well. My Dad even said we should do it every Sunday or every other. I totally agreed! We just woke up early and headed down there before it got to crazy and crowded there.

Kira just loved digging in the sand by the water's edge and every now and then she'd head back my way to where I was sitting. It was so funny because you could see her going in the wrong direction and then figuring it out on her own where I was. So different from last year! Their both getting at a great age for many things..... making things a bit "easier" on all of us.

One of my BIGGEST things I can't stand is a DIRTY child! Well not any dirty child, just mine! Kira LOVED rolling around in the sand and putting sand all over her body as if it were lotion! I could of "DIED" but I realized.... "What's the big deal, it's easy to brush off"!
Here they are covering themselves up with sand! I told them I would make them both like Mermaids (Merman for Logan), they LOVED it!

Father's Day 2009
Father's Day 2009! Today was a nice and fun day. We, or shall I say I started out the day making coffee and breakfast for Daddy. We had a relaxing morning at home and then we each went to the gym. After Kira's nap we all went to my parents house for dinner. If you've ever been to my parent's "house" you know my Mom always has tons of people over for no reason. We celebrated Father's Day with my family, my parents, my brother, his "girl-friend", Vic's Dad and a few other family friends of my parents that we've know since we were kids. My Mom kept the dinner simple but her simple is definitely not simple! We had a yummy dinner with all kinds of stuff. It literally felt like we were eating at PF Chang's or something. After dinner we all went up to my parent's real house or shall I say property. Their pretty much all set to start building so hopefully pretty soon. It's so stange to go to a place that you normally went ALL the time and have it actually just GONE. The road still leads you there and you feel your home but there isn't anything there but the land. I look to the future as I am sure we all do and know it will be better. There will be a larger brand new place there to get familiar once again with and call "home".
After hanging out up there on the dirt we all went back to my parent's rental home. Everyone just talked and drank which led to everyone playing a game called "Left, Right, Center" and turned it into a drinking game. All in all it really was a fun night and I had a fun time laughing it up with my Mom! The poor kids didn't get to go to bed until 11pm!
Here's what Logan, Kira and I made for Vic for Father's Day. What better present than a homemade one with love from your little one's?!
Vic and the kids.... as you can see below Kira wasn't in the mood for picture taking or actually just didn't want to take a picture with her Daddy. How sad! But below she was happy to smile with Mommy. Oh well even though it was Father's Day she is still a "Mommy's Girl", LOL! :)

French Braids!
One of the million reason's I really wanted a daughter was to be able to do her hair all different FUN ways. Today I decided to try and double French braid Kira's hair. LOOK! Isn't it totally CUTE?!?! She's been "trained" since she was a baby to let me do her hair (actually she had NO choice) and she is really GREAT at just sitting there and letting me do it. I LOVE that her hair is getting so long so there is so many more things to do with it!

I love this photo because it looks like Logan is painting her toenails! LOL! Oh yeah and here she is with her Gwen Stefani doll..... of course a daughter of mine needs to have a GWEN DOLL!!!

Ice Skating!
Logan started his Ice Skating class this week! We signed him up for a 6wk class with kids age's 3-5 yrs old and they "learn" to ice skate in a fun way with playing games etc. He had a great time even though he fell quite a bit. The teachers were very nice and sooo helpful. He really did enjoy it so were so glad to have a fun and new activity to be involved in. BTW did I mention it's freezing in there? Only bummer thing is that it's during the summer which means were all dressed for hot weather then I have to pack a huge bag for all of us containing all the warm clothing for when we go inside the ice rink. Just another pain in the a** thing for MOM to do! Kira will start her Ice Skating class next month. That should be interesting especially because I am suppose to be out there on ice skates with her, LOL!

Here's the teacher helping Logan along. They were very good and very attentive to him especially since it was his first time setting foot on ICE!
Trying to get from one end to the other by himself. Didn't last very long til he landed on his butt but at least he tried, never cried, whined, complained or anything. He really enjoyed it and even laughs now about falling on his bum-bum.
And of course I had to get a picture of Kira since she was there the whole time. She saw Logan out on the ice and wanted to do the same thing and then I noticed her walking out onto the ice with her shoes on and of course what happened...... She slipped and fell right on her bum-bum. I was afraid she was gonna hit the back of her head on the ice but luckily she didn't. Can't wait to see her wearing her little skates next month. :)

Mother and Daughter Activity!
Yeah! Today I went to get my nails done and Kira insisted on coming with me. For the last 2 weeks or so she's been letting me and actually wanting me to paint her finger and toe nails so I figured this would be a perfect opportunity for me to bring her and hope she would behave and not be scared. Before leaving I told her she could only come if she let the lady do her nails for her and didn't cry. We walked in hand in hand and she kept telling me that she wouldn't cry. She sat on my lap while I had my pedicure. She was so good and so behaved. She just carried on a little conversation with Mommy. She watched and commented on the lady doing my nails. This was a HUGE moment that I realized boys and girls really are SOOOO very different!!! There is no way I'd be able to take Logan (a BOY) at that age and expect him to sit there and not run all over the place tearing things up. I LOVED that she was so good and LOVED going with Mommy. After my pedicure was done the lady painted Kira's toe nails and then her finger nails. She did so good and just sat there not moving and just watching. This little mother/daughter outing we had today just made my day. I absolutely LOVE having a daughter (a mini-me) and am looking forward to all the things we can do together in the future! (These photos were taken with my cell phone camera)
Kira's nails are all done and painted very, very nicely! She's sitting here just waiting for them to dry.
The lady painting her toe nails. I was surprised because when I asked them to do it I thought since she's only 2 that they would just paint them and be done but she actually cut them a little bit, filed them a little bit, put bottom coat on, 2 coats of polish and then a top coat as well! Wow, so extravagant for a 2 yr old!!! :)
PS- This is Logan's carseat! She has 2 carseats that are PINK and GIRLY! Why am I telling you this.... LOL, I don't know!!! HA!

Universal Studios!
We went to Universal Studios today! I think the last time we were there was when Vic and I were still dating. We took the kids and my parents came too. It was a cloudy and drizzely day which we all thought made it perfect. No waiting in bright, hot sunlight. No sweating or heat stroke etc. It was great! The kids actually had a really GREAT time even though they were both napless all day.
The Tram Tour was just as fun as I remembered it. Maybe seemed a little shorter but all in all it's something that we all enjoyed. Logan was afraid because he thought it was a scary ride but once he got on he loved it and loved seeing everything.
Here's Kira meeting Curious George. I don't even think she knew who he was except that he was a cute and furry monkey. She wasn't scared at all and loved him!

Papa pretending to be almost dinner for this huge shark! Logan was afraid of it and actually tried to help Papa get out. It was so cute and funny!
Meeting Dora! They both had a really good time meeting all the different characters at Universal Studios. They had a lot of characters from the Nickolodean channel including Sponge Bob, Dora, Crash Bandicoot, Curious George, The Simpsons etc.

We went on Wisteria Lane from the show Desperate Housewives. One of my favorite shows! It's so strange how the street and houses look so small. They said that with using different camera lenses they can make things look or appear bigger than they actually are. I believe it!
Kira ready wearing her 3D glasses for the Shrek show/movie. She looks hilarious to me! That was a good and fun show for the kids.
I think we had a really enjoyable time! The kids had a lot of fun and pretty much enjoyed everything we did that day even without having any naps. I'm really starting to think we are getting so much closer to such a great stage/age with them. Kira almost out of diapers (hopefully this summer) and we'll almost be done with strollers etc. They both would rather walk and hold our hands. Can't wait!

At first Logan was terrified but then got a kick out of it and thought it was fun. Kira on the other hand really couldn't care less. She wasn't scared nor too excited, LOL!

This guy was appearing to be Norman Bates and as the Tram drove by we caught him carrying a dead body out of the motel and putting it in the trunk of a car. Then he went PSYCHO on us and started chasing the tram with a huge knife! Kira thought he was Mr. Bean because she likes that movie Mr. Bean's Holiday.
