Universal Studios!

We went to Universal Studios today! I think the last time we were there was when Vic and I were still dating. We took the kids and my parents came too. It was a cloudy and drizzely day which we all thought made it perfect. No waiting in bright, hot sunlight. No sweating or heat stroke etc. It was great! The kids actually had a really GREAT time even though they were both napless all day.

The Tram Tour was just as fun as I remembered it. Maybe seemed a little shorter but all in all it's something that we all enjoyed. Logan was afraid because he thought it was a scary ride but once he got on he loved it and loved seeing everything.
Here's Kira meeting Curious George. I don't even think she knew who he was except that he was a cute and furry monkey. She wasn't scared at all and loved him!

Papa pretending to be almost dinner for this huge shark! Logan was afraid of it and actually tried to help Papa get out. It was so cute and funny!
Kira and Nana riding down one of the many escalators that Univeral has to get to the bottom level.
The creeky bridge that you go over in the Tram Tour. At first Logan was terrified but then got a kick out of it and thought it was fun. Kira on the other hand really couldn't care less. She wasn't scared nor too excited, LOL!
Meeting Dora! They both had a really good time meeting all the different characters at Universal Studios. They had a lot of characters from the Nickolodean channel including Sponge Bob, Dora, Crash Bandicoot, Curious George, The Simpsons etc.
The man-made flood that you see on the Tram tour. This one has been around since I was a kid!
JAWS! YIKES!
We went on Wisteria Lane from the show Desperate Housewives. One of my favorite shows! It's so strange how the street and houses look so small. They said that with using different camera lenses they can make things look or appear bigger than they actually are. I believe it!
The Bates Motel! This guy was appearing to be Norman Bates and as the Tram drove by we caught him carrying a dead body out of the motel and putting it in the trunk of a car. Then he went PSYCHO on us and started chasing the tram with a huge knife! Kira thought he was Mr. Bean because she likes that movie Mr. Bean's Holiday.
Logan and Kira enjoying the tram ride!
We watched an Animal actors show. It was pretty cute and funny to see. The kids enjoyed it.
Kira ready wearing her 3D glasses for the Shrek show/movie. She looks hilarious to me! That was a good and fun show for the kids.
We were able to meet Shrek after the show. This is one character Kira was afraid of.

I think we had a really enjoyable time! The kids had a lot of fun and pretty much enjoyed everything we did that day even without having any naps. I'm really starting to think we are getting so much closer to such a great stage/age with them. Kira almost out of diapers (hopefully this summer) and we'll almost be done with strollers etc. They both would rather walk and hold our hands. Can't wait!

Model Productions Finals!

Today was the Model Productions Final. Logan's age group was 3-5 year olds. The "competion" was video taped and will be sent to Model Productions in Florida where they will review the tapes to see who will recieve a year's contract. The contestants are judged on their photo shoot, 45 sec. talent and runway. All in all this was FUN no matter what happens! :)

Logan just goofing off before starting. Oh and having a snack too, LOL!
Waiting in line for his turn to do his talent part
Nicole, Kira and Colin filming from above

Logan's turn up on stage! Here he is holding the microphone and ready to sing his song. He loves this certain song from the movie The Polar Express so we told him it would be like American Idol and he could sing his song for everyone. A lot of the older kids did lipsyncing so I am pretty sure Logan was one of the only little one's that actually sang! (He looks a little nervous!)

He did so GOOD! Sang clear (for a 4yr old) and loud!

Here he is taking his walk down the cat walk! He did pretty good.... I think he could of smiled much more than he did.

My little MODEL! We'll see how things go! :)

Model Production Photo Shoot!

Logan's photo shoot today for Model Productions. He looked so CUTE and was totally working the camera! He had a little audience and they were all in "awe" with him. It was GREAT! This photo session only took about 15 minutes. Logan listened so well and did exactly what the photographer told him. I guess he's had some "modeling" practice with cameras because of me. These images were taken with my phone's camera. I didn't want to lug around my huge camera and I didn't want to interupt or intrude on the photographer's session or space. Can't wait to get the one's he took! I'll definitely have my camera and video camera for this weekends "competition"! Yeah!

"Model Productions"

This was taken with my phone's camera. My little man tried out for a Model/Talent production last night! I took him there for FUN and when they asked what we were interested in him doing I said Modeling. They said how about Acting? I had never thought that but yes that makes sense... kids act too! So I had him memorize a line as well. He had to talk on a microphone up on stage in front of an audience, say his line, walk the cat walk and pose. I was so nevous for him I felt like I was going to PUKE, LOL! He surprisingly did a pretty good job... I thought he might "freeze" up but he didn't. At the end they said who made it to the 2nd part which is a bigger competition this weekend. They will be judged on their photo shoot (portfolio), talent and catwalk again. Anyhow, he made it to the 2nd part and it was for acting! HA! So now he has an indoor photo shoot this afternoon and then the competition this weekend. I don't know that many regular 4 yr olds have a "talent" but he just really wants to sing up on stage so I guess he will do that. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera last night but I definitely will this weekend. I'll post some pics from the photo shoot when I get them. It's been fun so far!

Here he is today helping me show my new chair for photography....
