Is it SUMMER Already?!?!

We had a really nice family day on Sunday. I had a photo session in the morning so everyone decided to go with me. I did my session while the 3 of them played on the swings. Then we went home and pretty much played in the backyard all day. It was sooo HOT out that the kids had a lot of fun running around, playing with the hose, our slide, water table etc. It was just nice to get out and spend time together especially when I had just worked 3 days in a row... BLAH!

Happy Easter 2009!

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter! It turned out to be a really NICE day! We spent our day with bruch at our house with my family and then dinner over at my parents house. The kids got so many GIFTS and so much CANDY you would of thought it was Christmas and Halloween rolled into ONE!

This is Logan and Kira's Easter baskets that the Easter bunny brought to our front door!

Poor Kira wasn't too happy with the Easter egg hunt because Logan was way too fast for her and was getting all the eggs. She was so mad and frustrated. Every time someone told her where eggs were she would go that way and then Logan would sweep in like a hurricane and whisk them away. It was funny but he needs to learn to share or actually they both need to learn to share a little more.

After the egg hunt they were surprised that Uncle Colin had also gotten them Easter baskets with goodies and tons more candy (he had a little influence from a new female friend). Then later that day when we went to my parents for dinner they got 2 more HUGE Easter baskets! I seriously don't remember getting this much stuff at Easter when we were kids, LOL! Happy Easter!

Easter Bunny!

Yeah! Today we went to visit the Easter Bunny (well take photos)! Thank goodness there was hardly any wait. I just hate having to wait in a long line for anything let alone with these two guys, LOL! Pretty much I take them to do these pictures every year so that I can compare from the year before. Vic and I were pretty sure Kira would "freak" out but then again she may surprise us. This first picture is from 2007! Look at my little babies!

And this year 2009! Kira absolutely did NOT want to sit on the Bunny's lap or get near him! I was cracking up laughing but then kept trying to think what I could do to get her to cooperate. Also, I know how annoying it is to be standing in line behind a child who's turn is up and isn't cooperating. She cried so hard and just wanted Mommy to hold her.

Obviously this Easter Bunny has been around the block a few times because he decided to scoot clear over to the other side of the bench. What a GENIOUS! I placed Kira on the other side and had to hold her hand for a moment but then she was fine. I guess she was far enough away from him and stopped crying. Although, it took a while to get a little smile out of her or actually any type of emotion at all, LOL! So I told Logan to give his sister a BIG HUG because that always usually works. Look below because it DID!!! Hooray for BIG BROTHERS! :)

Please keep in mind that these are crappy images because I had to take a picture of a crappy picture. Anyhow, YEAH for EASTER! It's on it's way!

Just Like Heaven...

We went out to dinner tonight with the kids and when we were leaving the sky looked just like this. I turned to Vic and said, "OMG, It looks just like heaven, it's beautiful". Then he says to me, "How do you know what heaven looks like"? I said, "I don't know but it just does". What do you all think.... beautiful?

SiCk of Being SiCk!

Yep, you read it right.... I am SICK of being SICK! I don't think I've been this sick this many times in a single year and it's only MARCH! It really sucks being sick and being a Mom. The doctor's alway say, "you need to rest and drink plenty of fluids". Rest?!?! Do they know there is NO resting or napping or being sick when your a parent or especially a MOM?! Thank goodness for my parents! Every time I've been home sick they've taken the kids for me. It's weird being home sick in a quiet and empty house. There is only so much TV or Tivo I can watch. Then there is only so much on the internet I can browse. I keep sitting here thinking of the things I could be doing or want to do like cleaning up the house, laundry, going for a walk, going to the gym, shopping, organizing etc. Oh well, hope it clears up soon so I can resume back to the real world.

My Favorite Pair!

CABO 2009

We were in Cabo about a week ago. I can't believe it took me this long to post some pictures! Geez! It was just more of a "headache" for me since I took over 400 images. Anyhow, we had a good week. It was nice to get away and just do nothing or whatever we wanted. Pretty much all we did there was 1) Swim/Layout, 2) EAT and 3) DRINK BEER! Logan and Kira had the best time swimming everyday in the pool. It's amazing that I have kids that SWIM! They did so good and loved it so much that we had to force them to take breaks so they could catch their breaths. They loved diving down to get their toys and swimming from edge to edge or to person to person. They also loved digging in the sand at the beach... what kid doesn't. Here's a few pics below..... The view from our Penthouse. This is an AWESOME place and it's right on the beach as well.

I took Kira out on the beach the first morning we were there for a quick photo session. She was so interested in the sand and loved digging. I posted a handful on my photography blog. Please check it out as I think there are some adorable shots there.

Logan and Vic walking into town for dinner.

Kira got hair braids on Medano Beach. I knew I wanted her to have it done this year but I NEVER thought she'd actually sit there the whole time for the lady to do it! She just sat on the beach and went thru the ladies bag of beads and helped out by handing her a bead each time she needed one. She looked soooo CUTE! I wish I would of had my camera that day to take pictures of her getting it done but I didn't have it with me.

I LOVE how the moonlight is shining down on the ocean here. This is looking out our other side of the penthouse balcony. That is another resort down below. I think Oscar De La Hoya owns a place there.

Any of you watch the show The Hills? Well if you do then you immediately know this is Brody Jenner! He was in Cabo the same week we were. We saw him 2 days down at Medano Beach partying it up with his friends at the same bar/restraurant we were at. The 1st day we saw him he sat at the table right next to us.... of course that was the same day Kira got hair braids and I didn't have my camera. Then we saw him another day and he sat maybe 2-3 tables away from ours. This is the only shot I got... too bad I didn't have my long lens this day. Anyhow, when I took this shot I was pretending to be taking my Dad's picture. Ha! Anyhow, here he is... Brody Jenner and YES he is pretty HOT, a handsome guy!

The waves at the beach by our resort were GIGANTIC the last few days we were there! It was to the point that I was almost freaking out about a Tsunaimi (sp)! This one is just a neat shot but others I took show how huge the waves were and what big crashes they made.

We had a GREAT trip.... now all Vic and I need is a little getaway for ourselves!

Eyes

We've been back from Cabo for a few days now. It was a fun trip but were all also glad to be home. I will post my Cabo pics when I can actually sit down and load them on here. There are so many so it's just exhausting to think about. Hopefully I'll only post a few or a little more than a few, LOL!

Here's Kira fresh out of the bath. She looks so innocent to me (maybe a little mad in the 2nd one) and I just LOVE her eyes so much! I think in these photos it really shows what her eye color really looks like. I am just in awe with my little girls eyes because I still can't believe she got something other than brown. (I know the highlights are a bit blown out but what can you do with a 2 yr old that doesn't want to participate in the first place)

Going on VACATION and the STRESS that comes before!

Lucky us were going on our annual time share family vacation to CABO soon! I must say that planning and packing for a trip with 2 children is SOOOO stressful in itself that you NEED a vacation once the planning and packing is done! I swear I get so stressed out that maybe I make myself sick?! A couple weeks ago I had the "stomach bug" and now this week I end up with Brochitis! Wonderful! I have so much stuff to get done and so little time between work and the kids. Then I go and get sick, the doctor tells me that for me to get better and not worse before our trip that I need to rest and drink plenty of fluids. How in the world is that going to happen?? Uggghhh! I have crap to do! So I am sitting here at home in my pajamas and bathrobe and at the same time trying to rest but then freaking out about getting stuff done. I definitely NEED a vacation but if any of you already know that a vacation with children is a totally different kind of vacation which means that after the vacation the parents need a vacation from the kids! Ha! Did you get all that? Did I even make sense, LOL?!

Oh well, regardless we are all soooo EXCITED to go and get away for some FUN in the SUN! The kids this year should be alot of fun and really enjoy themselves! I can't wait to get them on the beach for some beach shots. Hopefully that will go well. :)
