A Disneyland Birthday!

Happy 2nd Birthday Kira Alexis!!! Today we decided to have a FUN filled birthday at Disneyland! It was a great day and she had a BLAST!


Here she is in the morning just waking up. We all went into her bedroom singing Happy Birthday to her and she totally enjoyed it! She was so cute jumping up and down in her crib and cracking up at all of us!

We just arrived at Disneyland and she is probably thinking, "Where are we"? It's funny because I think she looks like me and Vic but in this particular photo, she TOTALLY looks like Mommy! I wish I could find a pic of me from that age and put it side by side. :)

We started at California Adventure park so that Logan could go on the new Toy Story ride. As soon as we got in she was soooo delighted. Running around, laughing and smiling! She truely was such a Birthday Girl!

Here's her new sparkly shoes that she insisted on wearing! She is already addicted to shoes and tells me every morning which pair she'd like to wear. Such a girl!

Each time she went on the Merry Go Round she never wanted to get off!

I had to get her a special Disneyland Birthday hat! Doesn't she look so CUTE and festive for her special occassion?!

She was so serious here as she watched Vic, Logan and Papa on some sort of up in the air swinging ride. I LOVE this image of her! So serious, sweet and innocent!

Meeting Mr. Incredible for the first time! Man was he BUFF! Logan LOVES the Incredibles so he too was excited to meet him.

Taking a minute to stop and dance with Papa and Nana at California Adventure where you here all the music playing. Everyone that passed by laughed and said how cute she was!

I will NOT dare go on the Tea Cups because I get really bad motion sickness so I sat out for this one. I am not sure but this may of been her first time on this ride and she absolutely LOVED it! She was all smiles the entire ride.

Everytime I go to Disneyland I have to get the GIANT pickle. I usually get one right before we go on the Haunted Mansion. Unfortunately it was closed today but oh well I still got my pickle... until Kira decided to take it and CHOMP away at it! I didn't even know she liked pickles all that much.

Anyhow, we seriously had an enjoyable day at Disneyland! It was a great way to spend a 2nd Birthday! I still can't believe she is already 2! Time really flies but I am LOVING each day that goes by with them. I LOVE my kids so much!

Happy Birthday "EVE"!

Today was a FUN day! I had one of my photographer friends Jessica, do a birthday themed session for Kira. It was a perfect day with an awesome sky and look at all the props and the colors... BEAUTIFUL! It's hard for me to be the parent, get everything organized and then also be the photographer for my kids so when a BIG occassion like this comes up I turn to others. I LOVE how they turned out! Isn't she CUTE?! She had tons of fun especially with the tea set! Such a girl! This is only a few of many! Can't believe my little girl is TWO tomorrow! Off to Disneyland! YEAH!

My Little Ballerina!

We have a little Ballerina! Kira started Dance class today. It's a ballet and tap combo class. OMG was it soooo CUTE! This is something I looked forward to so much even before I knew I was expecting a girl! I am so glad she gets to do fun things like this.

She was a little shy at first and wanted Mommy to come out on the floor with her. I sat there with her for a little bit and just encouraged her to go have fun. She eventually warmed up and participated in everything they were doing. She was so CUTE!

At Home Today...

I did a few quick indoor images of the kids today. I really, really know why I LOVE photographing other little one's... they are or so easy compared to my two! They either just make it so difficult and/or make me loose my patience! They are like, "Mom, we'd rather be doing something else"! LOL! Finally a Night Out...

YEAH! A night out! I swear just the simplicity of getting dressed and getting to go out to dinner ALONE is a HUGE event for us! LOL! Last summer we had a great babysitter that we really liked and loved the fact that she was always available for us but then she went away to college (how could she do that to us, LOL!). Anyhow, we went out to dinner for Vic's birthday (his birthday is on the 15th) and Matt & Angela joined us. It was nice to get out, eat, drink and have an adult conversation instead of the chaos we are used to and shoveling food down our throats fast enough so that the kids don't start getting wrestless. HA! It was fun!

Still Practicing!

Were still just "practicing" the toilet with Kira. I haven't actually completely started potty training. Last time I potty trained Logan I literally locked us up in the house for 4 days straight! I really want to get started with her because I know she is ready but for some reason I am a bit hesitant. Maybe because she is much younger? Logan was potty trained at 2 1/2 but I heard girls are easier and faster than boys so I should just try now!? I think I am just waiting until I have my long week off work and then we'll get started. We did M&M candies with Logan so I think I'll do the same with her since she is a candy nut! Wish me luck in the coming weeks! It would be GREAT to have her potty trained before Cabo!

Time for a New Bed?!

I'm wondering if it's time for a new bed for Kira?! From the looks of it she seems like she is getting big for her crib. I don't think she really cares though because the girl sleeps so good every night from 6pm-7:30am! I even wake her up around 11pm before I go to bed to change her diaper and she could care less and just go back to sleep immediately. Before we had Kira we changed Logan out of the crib a few months before he turned 2 because we were going to need the crib for her. Now there is really no reason to change her into a bed yet except for the fact that I think she looks a bit crammed in there and it's a FUN step to get a bed. I look at it as, YEAH I get to go pick out a new bed and bedding for her! But then once it's done I am sure I'll be really sad to see the crib taken out especially because she is our last baby. :( We'll see!

Another Look Back...

So I guess I am just looking back to two years ago. Kira's 2nd birthday is coming soon and I just can't believe it! What happened? Not that long ago I just had a 2 year old and a newborn. Unbelievable how fast they grow and how fast time flies! Here's a few pictures from her BIRTH-DAY 2007!

OMG! My BABY is Going to be TWO this month!?! A Look Back First...

So it's that busy birthday time of year again for our family! Logan just turned FOUR, Vic has his birthday next week and our little Kira is going to be TWO in less than 2wks! Where has the time gone?! I swear she was just a baby!

I wanted to post a few pics from last year. I can't believe how crazy and all out I went for her 1st birthday! From her attire, decorations, cakes etc! I was a NUT but it's only once that your little girl or guy turns ONE! This year we opted to not have a big 2nd birthday party for her. Instead we are just going to do Disneyland then having dinner and cake with family.

For those of you that were there.... remember how crazily messy she was with her birthday cake! Boy did she have FUN making a HUGE MESS! Gotta love it! What a big difference between her and Logan. He didn't want to even touch his 1st birthday cake!

Here she is on her actual 1st birthday! Vic went to work that night and Logan was sleeping so it was just Kira and I and her mini birthday cake and candle! Such great memories! I still can't believe she's going to be TWO!!! OMG!
