Model Productions Finals!

Today was the Model Productions Final. Logan's age group was 3-5 year olds. The "competion" was video taped and will be sent to Model Productions in Florida where they will review the tapes to see who will recieve a year's contract. The contestants are judged on their photo shoot, 45 sec. talent and runway. All in all this was FUN no matter what happens! :)

Logan just goofing off before starting. Oh and having a snack too, LOL!
Waiting in line for his turn to do his talent part

Logan's turn up on stage! Here he is holding the microphone and ready to sing his song. He loves this certain song from the movie The Polar Express so we told him it would be like American Idol and he could sing his song for everyone. A lot of the older kids did lipsyncing so I am pretty sure Logan was one of the only little one's that actually sang! (He looks a little nervous!)

He did so GOOD! Sang clear (for a 4yr old) and loud!

Here he is taking his walk down the cat walk! He did pretty good.... I think he could of smiled much more than he did.

My little MODEL! We'll see how things go! :)

Model Production Photo Shoot!

Logan's photo shoot today for Model Productions. He looked so CUTE and was totally working the camera! He had a little audience and they were all in "awe" with him. It was GREAT! This photo session only took about 15 minutes. Logan listened so well and did exactly what the photographer told him. I guess he's had some "modeling" practice with cameras because of me. These images were taken with my phone's camera. I didn't want to lug around my huge camera and I didn't want to interupt or intrude on the photographer's session or space. Can't wait to get the one's he took! I'll definitely have my camera and video camera for this weekends "competition"! Yeah!

"Model Productions"

This was taken with my phone's camera. My little man tried out for a Model/Talent production last night! I took him there for FUN and when they asked what we were interested in him doing I said Modeling. They said how about Acting? I had never thought that but yes that makes sense... kids act too! So I had him memorize a line as well. He had to talk on a microphone up on stage in front of an audience, say his line, walk the cat walk and pose. I was so nevous for him I felt like I was going to PUKE, LOL! He surprisingly did a pretty good job... I thought he might "freeze" up but he didn't. At the end they said who made it to the 2nd part which is a bigger competition this weekend. They will be judged on their photo shoot (portfolio), talent and catwalk again. Anyhow, he made it to the 2nd part and it was for acting! HA! So now he has an indoor photo shoot this afternoon and then the competition this weekend. I don't know that many regular 4 yr olds have a "talent" but he just really wants to sing up on stage so I guess he will do that. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera last night but I definitely will this weekend. I'll post some pics from the photo shoot when I get them. It's been fun so far!

Here he is today helping me show my new chair for photography....

THIRTY ONE on the 31st!!!!

YEA! Today was my 31st Birthday! I'm really not that excited to go deeper into the 30's but whatever, it's a day to "celebrate"!

We had planned on going to brunch with my parents, Colin and his "friend" Nicole to Slide Bar in Fullerton. I had never been there before and I don't know what I was expecting but when I got there and walked in I "freaked" out! I took a quick look around and told everyone there with me that we were LEAVING and getting the heck out of there! It just wasn't what I had expected! Those of you that have or haven't been there before... it was more like an outdoor, crappy bar atmosphere and seemed like the people walking in were people that partied there the night before and woke up with a hangover wearing the same clothes as the night before, LOL! I went into the room where the "buffet" was supposely at just to take a look and I quickly ran out.... it looked like someone was serving food in their garage! Sorry if anyone likes that place... I think it may be ok at night time to go for a couple of drinks but not a brunch.

Anyhow we ended up at Tap's Brewery for brunch. Been there multiple times and we know it's good. Us six had a good time eating and drinking! I think my Mom and me had a little too much champagne though but who cares, it was fun and my birthday.

Everyone was pooped afterwards so we ended up not getting together again for the night. Instead we ordered pizza (uuggghh, nice) and the kids had my birthday cake.

My beautiful CHOCOLATE cake picked out by Logan and Kira!

Helping Mom blow out the candles! Like I need help but they LOVE it! They both love singing "Happy Birthday", actually LOVE everything about birthday's wether it's their own or not.

Here's Kira "hamming" it up for the camera. It's so funny because she does smile and is so CUTE!

Happy 31st Birthday to me!!! Here's Vic and I tonight.... from the looks of it I think I need some more REST, RELAXATION and many more hours of SLEEP!!!!!! HA!

1st Hair Cut by Mom (well maybe the 2nd or 3rd)

YEAH for a HAIR CUT finally! Logan's hair grows way too fast and I usually have to take him to get his hair cut every 3weeks or so. Finally he let Mommy cut his hair and I think I did a pretty good job! I guess after watching numerous times, I just figured it out and did it myself. I think the last time I ever cut his hair was when he was 9 months old and I don't think I did a very good job. So, YEAH to saving time and money doing it myself! (He has blue around his mouth from a lollipop)

Stranded at Home

Ok, so my Saturday off of work and I come to find I am "stranded" at home because Vic accidently took Kira's carseat in his car. Wondeful! Not that I really enjoy venturing out on a weekend with 2 kids in tow but just not having the option was the problem.

I decided to take them on a walk around East Lake and to visit and feed some ducks. I guess since it was mid-afternoon most all the ducks were sitting in the shade resting and relaxing and not caring about food. Logan and Kira still threw bread pieces to the ducks but then realized the ducks weren't interested in eating it so both the kids sat there chomping on bread, LOL! After "feeding" the ducks we went walking around the lake to head home. My did we come across a HUGE and territorial Duck! It was heading right for us and seemed like it was cursing at us in "duck language"! I was even afraid of it and Logan started crying and was begging me to turn around and go the other way. We waited it out until the darn duck decided to jump in the water and swim away. HA! What are people feeding those ducks?!?

I did warn you all about the HAIR CUT Logan is in desperate need of. Look below and you'll see the MOPPY MESS! He won't let me cut it, he just likes to go to the kids hair place because they have video games/tv while kids get their hair cut. Maybe the duck was after us because he thought Logan's head was a NEST?!

With a boy all you have to do is throw on a HAT and TA-DA..... Problem solved (temporarily)!

Driving her CAR!

Kira and I hung out today in the backyard while Vic took Logan to his doctor's appt. She is the funniest girl with a ton of things! She loves driving her little car around or actually she likes to pack up her car with toys she finds around the backyard. Then she gets in and waves "Bye Mom, bye"! Then she proceeds to tell me she's going to Nana's burned down house because there are bad guys there. Lately she's been talking alot about Nana and Papa's burned house and that it's ruined and no longer there. She was 22 months at the time and it's so weird that her memory is kicking in. She remembers, at least I think so??? She tells me about the smoke, that we were all scared and crying. So SAD! I think she just misses it and her things that were there. The new house will be much bigger and better and will once again be all of our other "home away from home".

Now your probably wondering..... why so many pictures of Kira and practically NONE of Mr. Logan. Well the answer to that is because my little man is in such desperate need of a HAIR CUT that whenever this happens I and my camera tend to stray away from him, LOL! Nice Mom huh?! Hope we get him a hair cut soon cuz I am the Mom lately that's been sending him to school with a hat on!!!

As you all know Kira hardly ever smiles for me but here is her serious look because she was explaining to me about the fire, the firemen, the "bad guys", the smoke, the crying and Nana and Papa's house burning down. Doesn't she look so concerned.... what a sweet little girl!

Tea Party!

Having a little girl is the absolute funnest thing ever! Don't get me wrong, little boys are fun as well but OMG little girls are sooo darn CUTE and there are endless possibilities you can do with them (at least I think so). Here's Kira having a little tea party with her bunny rabbit. She LOVES having tea, serving tea and could actually sit there in silence "forever" just playing.

After her tea party she packed everything up in her cute little retro suitcases and carryed them along as if she was going out of town or something, it was totally funny. Here are just a few of my favorites of her. (There is more on my photography blog) I LOVE having a girl! :)

Here's the ONE and ONLY smile I got out of her for almost an entire hour!
