GO ANGELS!

I can't believe my Logan is now 5 yrs old and able to play T-ball! His team is the Angels and no I didn't have to do anything to get him on this team. I had heard from other parents that "everyone" wants to be on the Angels. (Hmm, in one ear and out the other for me).

They have practice once a week and games 1-2 times a week. It's fun to go to the games only because it totally reminds me of back when I was little and used to go watch my brother play and would pick out the boys that I thought were cute and get to eat at the Snack Shack! And now at 31 yrs old it's pretty much the same... well not looking for cute boys but the Snack Shack is still the best! Where else can you get an awesome pretzel for $1?! LOL! Other than that I think baseball is BORING! It's fine because my kids is out there playing but seriously that is one long hour! Logan even has said he likes to play JUSA soccer much more. We'll see how things go. In T-ball there is no scoring or score keeping. Each player on both teams get to bat twice and then the game is over.

Here's Logan guarding 3rd base but is it just me but maybe he's thinking about what item he's going to get from the Snack Shack when this game is over!?

Logan up to bat...

SWING!

RUN!

SAFE!

Kira's 1st Day of Pre-school

Kira started Preschool this week! We've been talking about it for weeks but I decided to wait until after our Cabo trip to start her. She totally knows the preschool inside and out and all the teachers and staff know her by looking at her. I thought she was ready to go to school just like Logan. She loved talking about it, about what she was going to play with there, who was going to be her teacher, which classroom was going to be hers etc.

Here she is letting me get the only 2 shots she allowed of her. She said, "Ok Mommy I'll take a picture but I'm NOT smiling or going to look"! Real nice! She even picked out her own outfit today. She thinks she wants to pick out her own outfit everday and wants to wear only dresses and tights with cute shoes! Such a girl.... MUCH more than any of you can imagine!

When we got to school we dropped brother off in his class and then went to sign Kira up, turn in paper work, pay money and figure out which class and teacher was going to be hers. Miss Amber is her teacher and she seemed really nice and sweet. At first Kira clunge to my leg for a moment until she noticed that paints were sitting on the table. Miss Amber let her paint an Easter shirt of her own and that was it! I was FREE, I was able to leave like after 10 minutes! No crying, nothing! Well that's what I thought until I walked out down the outside hallway and thru the gates into my car.... What happened was I was sooooo SAD and I started CRYING! Now I have both my kids in school and who will be my "little buddy"?!

All in all I think the first week went great and she will be fine! It's much easier sending a 2nd child to school than a first because they already know the "deal" the concept, have been there numerous times etc. :)

Curls

Today Kira and Logan had a Model Search photo shoot with a photographer friend of mine that we've used in the past. She was hosting a Matilda Jane Model Search... I don't know what exactly for but both the kids were accepted and of course I'll jump to the opportunity for someone else, someone fantastic to take their photographs. If you've never seen or heard of Matilda Jane then I recommend you google it because they have the most adorable and unique clothing for girls.... expensive but adorable!

Here's Kira just after I curled her hair (she's holding all her outfits for the shoot). I've only curled her hair now twice. The first time didn't last very long at all but for some reason today it looked really pretty and lasted pretty much thru the photo session and all day! I must of done a good job. It's funny cuz these pics don'y really show how cute she really looked with curled hair.

People always comment to me about Kira's hair being sooo long and pretty. They ask me "hair" questions and I guess I'm a little dumb and just figure ALL kids her age have long hair too? I guess they don't?

Anyhow, it was a LONG but fun day. Can't wait to see the outcome!

CABO 2010

I've realized I've neglected my family blog. I've been a slacker and haven't been giving much attention or love to my family blog. Sorry! We took our annual trip to Cabo the 2nd week in March. This year it was our family of 4 and my parents. My brother wasn't able to come this time. It was a nice 8 day vacation.... lounging in the sun, swimming, shopping, EATING and DRINKING to sum it up! Oh my gosh.... I went there not exactly feeling like being in a bikini and then because of the eating and drinking there by day 4 I tried on the exact same jeans I flew there in and I could hardly breathe in them! They were like spandex jeans, what the heck?! It was disgusting, LOL! Can beer, chips, salsa, guacamole, tacos, beans, rice, beer and more beer really do that to your body in such a short time? Oh and did I mention no working out for a week, uggghhh! Anyhow, the kids really enjoyed the beach and the pool daily. LOVE our annual Cabo trip but definitely by the end of the week I was ready to come home. I'd like to post pics but there are TOO MANY so I don't know what to do!? Maybe I'll get around to just putting them on a slide show.

Kira's 3 Yr Pics!

Still can't believe my littlest one is 3 already! Time flies and now NO more babies! :( Here she is 3 yrs old and still HATING having her pictures taken... Oh well! I always think to hire someone else thinking she will cooperate for them but this past Fall she proved that idea wrong as she was a little bit of a Nightmare child for our family photographer! Here's the cutest that I did get in the 5 minutes she sorta cooperated! :)

BIRTHDAY GIRL! Kira's 3rd Birthday!

Here's our Birthday Girl on the morning of her 3rd birthday! Dressed adorably and ready to go out and spend a lovely day in the rain! NOT!

Kira had asked me the night before her birthday if Santa was coming to bring her birthday presents. I guess she was confused since Santa is the one that comes in the night and brings Logan his birthday presents. Probably in the next year or so she will understand about Logan's birthday being on a major holiday, Christmas day!

She couldn't wait to open her presents in the morning so we just let her. I guess sorta like Christmas she thinks her birthday is the same somewhat.

On Logan's birthday we have a tradition of going to the park (since it's on Christmas and everything is closed). So we also have a tradition on Kira's birthday and that is to go to DISNEYLAND! Unfortunately this year on Kira's birthday week and birthDAY it was POURING rain so we weren't able to go! :( Instead we went to Seascape! An indoor Bounce house!

They had so much fun at this place! One room has a ton of little balls, machines that shoot them out, blow them up etc. as well as a big fun jungle gym type play with a duo slide! It was really a lot of fun! Even Vic and I enjoyed ourselves (well for about an hour)!

Here is one room that has the GIANT bouncer (just look at Vic to the left to see)! One side is a maze inside and then the other is the giant slide. I even went down the slide and it was totally fun!

The kids bouncing away!

Here's part of the other room... the ball room.

Kira's beautiful Princess cake! I was going to make a cake just like this but got decided not too. I didn't realize the skirt was going to be this gigantic but she LOVED it! I thought it turned out great!

LOOK! It was bigger than her head!

They both enjoyed eating birthday cake! My goodness... this time of year for us is filled with cake! From Colin's birthday to Logan's birthday, then Daddy's birthday (Vic) and then Kira's birthday! What's next.... oh yeah, Valentine's Day will be coming up soon! More sweets! Uhhgg! Oh well, can't believe my youngest is already THREE! Oh and did I mention... thank goodness we got our little cookie potty trained finally and before her 3rd birthday!!! HOORAY! She was sooo stubborn and against it for sooo long! So frustrating for me since Logan was only 2 1/2 when he was fully potty trained and it only took him 3 days to get it! Since I had so much time off and it was raining we got our girl potty trained! I even went about my errands in the day time and she was fine! Such a GREAT feeling! NO MORE DIAPERS! :)

How Old Are You Going to Be???

Kira's 3rd Birthday is coming up so I asked her to show me how old she is going to be... This is what I got! She can not quite do it. I guess holding up 3 fingers is a tough one compared to only 2 fingers! She'll need some practice! I can't believe my "baby" is going to be THREE in less than 2 wks!

DOUBLE BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!

We decided to have a JOINT Birthday party for Logan and Kira this time around! It just seemed easier on me considering their birthday's are less than 30 days apart and one of them lands on Christmas Day! As if I am not busy and stressed enough around the holidays!

The last official birthday party we had was Kira's 1st birthday party. That was a HUGE one that you can not let pass by. We had a large amount of people at my parent's house and this time I wish we could of done the same except my parent's new house isn't done yet.

We had family and friends join us (mostly friends) and a good amount of little one's. I am such a NERD and was soooo excited to get a jumper in our backyard for the kids! I also had a GREAT face painter come and she did such a good job on all (well almost all... little James) the kids face's. We had a BLAST and thanks for coming and celebrating with us!!!

Gianna taking a second to smile for me in the jumper.

Ava having no problem giving me smiles as she had fun jumping in the jumper.

I can't believe how grown up "M" is getting! (Mikayla, but I like to call her "M") I keep thinking back to the first time she and Jules came over to our condo to visit and meet Logan as a baby. She was only 1 1/2 yrs old and she was so adorable and such a good little girl, especially for a toddler!
Kira getting her face painted! She sat so good the entire time, so quite and so still. Actually, ALL the kids were really AWESOME for the face painter. I think they all were good the entire time, so quite and so still for toddlers/kids! Go figure....

LOVED her face!

Logan getting his Batman face on!

So CUTE, looks like a mask!

Butterfly girlies!!!

Kira and Gianna sitting down and trying to figure out who has the most M&M's!

JOINT Birthday means JOINT cake! Yep, I bought ONE cake and had them decorate them separately! I didn't want to buy 2 cakes especially from previous times we always get stuck with left over cake and if that happens you know who is the one that's going to eat it... ME! Uggghh!

I LOVE this picture of all the kids and their festive painted faces! Some little one's were missing though in this shot (James, Ayden, Zoe, Landon & Ava).

Thanks all for coming! We had an awesome day followed by a few more awesome days at Disneyland and Pretend City! :) You can check out my photography blog site to see all the AWESOME painted faces of all the kids! www.carrietphotography.blogspot.com
