GyMnAsTiCs!!!

Kira started gymnastics at Kips today! As I was getting her ready I was thinking I couldn't remember... "What the heck do you wear to gymnastics"? I figured a leotard with no tights and no shoes right? Well I didn't want my poor daughter's underwear to peek out the sides of her leotard nor did I want her butt cheeks to be shown when she gets a wedgie as I was right because I saw other little girls leotards turning into G-strings.... so I just cut a pair of dance tights and put those on.

She did really well for a first time, enjoyed it and listened to the teacher! She seems a bit uncoordinated in dance class so I was pretty surprised when she was one of the one's that did so well on the balance beam :)

All done! She had a great time. Poor brother Logan sat and annoyed me the entire hour and couldn't stop asking why he couldn't go out there and do gymnastics too. Guess I should of signed him up for the older kid class!

Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day!!! Today we had soooo much fun! We went to Yorba Regional Park and when I've been there for photo sessions I've seen people renting these fun bikes so I told Vic we HAVE to do that. It seriously was so fun riding this bike around the park with the kids. Going down the hills were the best! I would do this again and totally recommend it.

A cute pic I got of them all! I actually got some great shots of Kira and Dad but Vic won't let me post any (he didn't like himself in them, LOL)! So now I'll have to do another Dad and kids photos again.... hopefully at the beach and in some better attire :)

Kira's 2nd Dance Recital

Kira had her 2nd dance recital. This time it was a Pirate's theme dance and they were ALL so cute! I loved the outfits! Here is Kira and her good friend Gigi waiting backstage.

Here they are performing on stage. I was so afraid for her because she only goes to this dance class every other week so I wasn't sure how she would do. She did ok but she seemed more involved with the huge audience and trying to find us. At one point it was soooo funny because she lost her tap shoe up on stage, she actually kicked it off and I know it doesn't sound that funny but seriously you had to be there. I was cracking up soooo hard but then felt bad that maybe she was embarrassed.

She did good and really enjoyed it! The next recital is probably in December again.

JiuJitsu and Dance Rehearsal!

Realized I haven't blogged in a while. I guess I've been paying more attention to my photography blog since I've actually been pretty busy lately there.

Logan started JiuJitsu this week and is really enjoying it! He could hardly wait and kept saying "I can't wait to start Brazilian JiuJitsu Mom", LOL (sounded funny coming out of his mouth)! This is a great class, they learn to listen, pay attention, discipline and defensive moves as well as stretching, push-ups, sit-ups, squats etc. Logan is sooo into Star Wars, Kung Fu Panda and video games that he literally was ready to get down and dirty and FIGHT! Here he is showing his outfit.

Learning how to get yourself out of a situation

Kira has a dance recital next week and today was the dance dress rehearsal and pictures. To make a long story short.... I was so mad to find out I had the rehearsal time wrong and there I am at home curling Kira's hair and getting her ready for the rehearsal when my friend Lindsay text me to ask where I am. I frantically got in car and drove there as fast as possible but it didn't matter I was already 45 minutes late. Poor Kira didn't even get to practice the dance number and she missed out on the group photo! :( The only thing she got to do was put on the outfit and get her individual picture taken and that was it! Hopefully things go smoothly next week and Kira remembers her moves!

Mother's Day 2010!

I LOVE when these special days like Mother's Day comes around and I get Pre-school gifts from my kids! Logan made this silk bouquet of flowers for me. He painted the pot, arranged the flowers inside and wrapped it up nicely. Now that Kira's in pre-school I get double the gifts! Kira's class painted flower pots, added dirt, a pack of pansies to plant and a sweet card.

I LOVE this card from Kira. I LOVE her little hand print (definitely a keeper for when she grows up) and I LOVE the little note inside. (I don't know why the pic loaded sideways because it was not sideways??) Anyhow, click on pic if you want to read it.... so cute!

On Sunday (Mother's Day) we packed up the 4 of us and headed down to San Diego for 3 days. We spent Mother's Day at Sea World and it was pretty fun. We enjoyed our day there and then unfortunately went to dinner somewhere that was suppose to be good but then all of our entrees were lousy! :(

We Love Baths!

They LOVE bath time and I LOVE bath time too! They love to play in the water, make bubbles everywhere, make bubble beards, pretend they are both mermaids, go underwater etc. I LOVE it because it gives me a few free minutes to look thru a magazine or sometimes even get on the computer! Then after the bath they are both dried, lotioned up and smelling oh so fresh and clean! Great smell don't you think?!

Logan & Kira as "Models"

Yea! So happy I finally got these "Model Search" pictures back! At first I wasn't quite "in-love" with them but now I totally am! Weird how that works like that. A couple weeks ago the kids were chosen to "model" for a photographer that I know and have used before. She held an in-studio session with a group of babies & kids all different ages to "model" to show that it DOES matter what you wear for a photo shoot! Definitely something I completely agree with! They had a good time the 3 hours we were there! Sometimes makes me wish I had my own studio but then I realize that "Duh! You have a job already"! LOL! Here's just a few that I really like. There definitely are more but I'll probably end up Slideshowing them :)

Logan wore his DWBH shirt for a few shots! Not much planning went into his outfits (Bad Mommy there). Just pulled stuff he already had out of this closet, LOL! Boys are much easier and faster to dress where as girls take much more thought and time yet is soooo much more FUN! HA!
