THIRTY ONE on the 31st!!!!

YEA! Today was my 31st Birthday! I'm really not that excited to go deeper into the 30's but whatever, it's a day to "celebrate"!

We had planned on going to brunch with my parents, Colin and his "friend" Nicole to Slide Bar in Fullerton. I had never been there before and I don't know what I was expecting but when I got there and walked in I "freaked" out! I took a quick look around and told everyone there with me that we were LEAVING and getting the heck out of there! It just wasn't what I had expected! Those of you that have or haven't been there before... it was more like an outdoor, crappy bar atmosphere and seemed like the people walking in were people that partied there the night before and woke up with a hangover wearing the same clothes as the night before, LOL! I went into the room where the "buffet" was supposely at just to take a look and I quickly ran out.... it looked like someone was serving food in their garage! Sorry if anyone likes that place... I think it may be ok at night time to go for a couple of drinks but not a brunch.

Anyhow we ended up at Tap's Brewery for brunch. Been there multiple times and we know it's good. Us six had a good time eating and drinking! I think my Mom and me had a little too much champagne though but who cares, it was fun and my birthday.

Everyone was pooped afterwards so we ended up not getting together again for the night. Instead we ordered pizza (uuggghh, nice) and the kids had my birthday cake.

My beautiful CHOCOLATE cake picked out by Logan and Kira!

Helping Mom blow out the candles! Like I need help but they LOVE it! They both love singing "Happy Birthday", actually LOVE everything about birthday's wether it's their own or not.

Here's Kira "hamming" it up for the camera. It's so funny because she does smile and is so CUTE!

Happy 31st Birthday to me!!! Here's Vic and I tonight.... from the looks of it I think I need some more REST, RELAXATION and many more hours of SLEEP!!!!!! HA!

1st Hair Cut by Mom (well maybe the 2nd or 3rd)

YEAH for a HAIR CUT finally! Logan's hair grows way too fast and I usually have to take him to get his hair cut every 3weeks or so. Finally he let Mommy cut his hair and I think I did a pretty good job! I guess after watching numerous times, I just figured it out and did it myself. I think the last time I ever cut his hair was when he was 9 months old and I don't think I did a very good job. So, YEAH to saving time and money doing it myself! (He has blue around his mouth from a lollipop)

Stranded at Home

Ok, so my Saturday off of work and I come to find I am "stranded" at home because Vic accidently took Kira's carseat in his car. Wondeful! Not that I really enjoy venturing out on a weekend with 2 kids in tow but just not having the option was the problem.

I decided to take them on a walk around East Lake and to visit and feed some ducks. I guess since it was mid-afternoon most all the ducks were sitting in the shade resting and relaxing and not caring about food. Logan and Kira still threw bread pieces to the ducks but then realized the ducks weren't interested in eating it so both the kids sat there chomping on bread, LOL! After "feeding" the ducks we went walking around the lake to head home. My did we come across a HUGE and territorial Duck! It was heading right for us and seemed like it was cursing at us in "duck language"! I was even afraid of it and Logan started crying and was begging me to turn around and go the other way. We waited it out until the darn duck decided to jump in the water and swim away. HA! What are people feeding those ducks?!?

I did warn you all about the HAIR CUT Logan is in desperate need of. Look below and you'll see the MOPPY MESS! He won't let me cut it, he just likes to go to the kids hair place because they have video games/tv while kids get their hair cut. Maybe the duck was after us because he thought Logan's head was a NEST?!

With a boy all you have to do is throw on a HAT and TA-DA..... Problem solved (temporarily)!

Driving her CAR!

Kira and I hung out today in the backyard while Vic took Logan to his doctor's appt. She is the funniest girl with a ton of things! She loves driving her little car around or actually she likes to pack up her car with toys she finds around the backyard. Then she gets in and waves "Bye Mom, bye"! Then she proceeds to tell me she's going to Nana's burned down house because there are bad guys there. Lately she's been talking alot about Nana and Papa's burned house and that it's ruined and no longer there. She was 22 months at the time and it's so weird that her memory is kicking in. She remembers, at least I think so??? She tells me about the smoke, that we were all scared and crying. So SAD! I think she just misses it and her things that were there. The new house will be much bigger and better and will once again be all of our other "home away from home".

Now your probably wondering..... why so many pictures of Kira and practically NONE of Mr. Logan. Well the answer to that is because my little man is in such desperate need of a HAIR CUT that whenever this happens I and my camera tend to stray away from him, LOL! Nice Mom huh?! Hope we get him a hair cut soon cuz I am the Mom lately that's been sending him to school with a hat on!!!

As you all know Kira hardly ever smiles for me but here is her serious look because she was explaining to me about the fire, the firemen, the "bad guys", the smoke, the crying and Nana and Papa's house burning down. Doesn't she look so concerned.... what a sweet little girl!

Tea Party!

Having a little girl is the absolute funnest thing ever! Don't get me wrong, little boys are fun as well but OMG little girls are sooo darn CUTE and there are endless possibilities you can do with them (at least I think so). Here's Kira having a little tea party with her bunny rabbit. She LOVES having tea, serving tea and could actually sit there in silence "forever" just playing.

After her tea party she packed everything up in her cute little retro suitcases and carryed them along as if she was going out of town or something, it was totally funny. Here are just a few of my favorites of her. (There is more on my photography blog) I LOVE having a girl! :)

Here's the ONE and ONLY smile I got out of her for almost an entire hour!

Happy 6 Year Anniversary!

Today was our 6 yr wedding anniversary! I can't believe it's been 6 years but actually I can because when I look at both Logan and Kira I see how they've grown and know time has passed. It goes by soooo fast as I am sure we are all noticing sice having kids. Vic and I had gone to Vegas earlier in the week just the two of us. It was a nice 3 day get away but honestly I was a little "lost" without the kids and totally missed them so much and couldn't wait to come home. Figures! Anyhow we did have a great time to ourselves gambling, hanging out at the pool, walking around and we even got totally "sauced" the first night.... I practically had to drag my drunk husband back to the hotel, LOL! It was the funniest thing ever.

So since we had been away from the kids so much this week from being in Vegas and working, we decided to "lay-low" for our anniversary and just go out to brunch together in the morning. Brunch was nice. It was nice to hear each other talk, to sip our coffee in peace and to not have to shovel food down our throats, LOL! Wonderful!

After we got back we headed outside since it was so beautiful and hot. It was my FUN idea to have the kids help wash my dirty car. They absolutely LOVED it and jumped right in! Good thinking on my part cuz now I have a much cleaner car. :)

Happy 6 Year Anniversay BABE! I LOVE YA!

Happy Mother's Day!

I absolutely L-O-V-E little faces but these two completely melt my heart!!! I ADORE them! Hope you all have a Happy Mother's Day this weekend!

My wonderful Mother's Day consisted of pretty much nothing! The men decided to leave us at 8am and go down to San Diego for the Redbull Air Races and left me home alone with the kids and my Mom home alone as well......N-I-C-E !!! So the two of us decided to just run to the mall quickly with both kids and boy was that a MISTAKE from the beginning! There we were in a very crowded Nordstrom's shoe department and if you happen to be there then I was the lady sitting there trying on shoes while my son was jumping off a stool chair and rolling all over the floor! Then my little 2 year old daughter was picking out her own dang shoes and comes back with a hot pink Charles David high heel! Then she proceeds to try it on and walk herself over to the mirror to take a look. Meanwhile I am still sitting there trying to try on my shoes and decide which to buy, occasionally yelling at them, giving them the eye and then practically gave up and not caring anymore (a crappy day I thought). Then there is my Mom sitting next to me saying "We better go, come on let's go" and fractically trying to get them to stop whatever it was they were doing. Keep in mind... my kids are not "bad" kids but they are just kids acting like they would if you took a 2 and 4 yr old shopping for shoes.... OF COURSE THEY WERE BORED and tried whatever they could do to turn it into a PLAYGROUND!!! After all that we finally left buying 3 pairs of new shoes while Kira sat in the stroller carrying (DRAGGING) her own Nordstrom's bag thinking she had gotten her very 1st pair of Hot Pink Charles David high heels!!! HA! What an ordeal! Then we all came home for lunch and a nap. That was my wonderful Mother's Day! Hope you all made out much better!

Taking a posting break?!

So I guess I've been on a somewhat "Posting Break" lately. I had such computer problems the last week or so and it really put me insane, was so annoying and frustrating! Thank goodness things are somewhat back to functioning at least for now. I've decided that I really need to take a little break from things because I feel like I've been putting my kids and my family in the "backseat" while I am on the computer soooo much! Even though I have a few sessions booked for this month I think I'm going to try and "chill out" a little bit and focus on hanging with my kids and family more. More activities and FUN stuff instead of constant time sitting in front of the computer and always editing or what not. There's much more to life than that and I've been so wrapped up in photography and everything that goes with it! Anyhow, here's my most recent FAVORITE image of Logan. :)

Is it SUMMER Already?!?!

We had a really nice family day on Sunday. I had a photo session in the morning so everyone decided to go with me. I did my session while the 3 of them played on the swings. Then we went home and pretty much played in the backyard all day. It was sooo HOT out that the kids had a lot of fun running around, playing with the hose, our slide, water table etc. It was just nice to get out and spend time together especially when I had just worked 3 days in a row... BLAH!

Logan running around in the grass as I try and shoot him with the hose!

Playing on our slide......oh too cute brother and sister L-O-V-E, lol!

Logan always ready to pose, LOL!

A smile from Kira? Where the heck did that come from?

Kira and her beach chair. She told me she was going to lay out and get some sun. Is she really only TWO?!

I am sure we'll have more days like this but hopefully sooner than later we can get all the KIDS together over here and have a FUN day like this!

Happy Easter 2009!

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter! It turned out to be a really NICE day! We spent our day with bruch at our house with my family and then dinner over at my parents house. The kids got so many GIFTS and so much CANDY you would of thought it was Christmas and Halloween rolled into ONE!

This is Logan and Kira's Easter baskets that the Easter bunny brought to our front door!

Boy were they EXCITED! Especially Logan.

LOVE this picture of him! His eyes are dead on and AMAZING to me!
Poor Kira wasn't too happy with the Easter egg hunt because Logan was way too fast for her and was getting all the eggs. She was so mad and frustrated. Every time someone told her where eggs were she would go that way and then Logan would sweep in like a hurricane and whisk them away. It was funny but he needs to learn to share or actually they both need to learn to share a little more.

After the egg hunt they were surprised that Uncle Colin had also gotten them Easter baskets with goodies and tons more candy (he had a little influence from a new female friend). Then later that day when we went to my parents for dinner they got 2 more HUGE Easter baskets! I seriously don't remember getting this much stuff at Easter when we were kids, LOL! Happy Easter!

Easter Bunny!

Yeah! Today we went to visit the Easter Bunny (well take photos)! Thank goodness there was hardly any wait. I just hate having to wait in a long line for anything let alone with these two guys, LOL! Pretty much I take them to do these pictures every year so that I can compare from the year before. Vic and I were pretty sure Kira would "freak" out but then again she may surprise us. This first picture is from 2007! Look at my little babies!

Easter Bunny 2007

Easter Bunny 2008

And this year 2009! Kira absolutely did NOT want to sit on the Bunny's lap or get near him! I was cracking up laughing but then kept trying to think what I could do to get her to cooperate. Also, I know how annoying it is to be standing in line behind a child who's turn is up and isn't cooperating. She cried so hard and just wanted Mommy to hold her.

Obviously this Easter Bunny has been around the block a few times because he decided to scoot clear over to the other side of the bench. What a GENIOUS! I placed Kira on the other side and had to hold her hand for a moment but then she was fine. I guess she was far enough away from him and stopped crying. Although, it took a while to get a little smile out of her or actually any type of emotion at all, LOL! So I told Logan to give his sister a BIG HUG because that always usually works. Look below because it DID!!! Hooray for BIG BROTHERS! :)

Please keep in mind that these are crappy images because I had to take a picture of a crappy picture. Anyhow, YEAH for EASTER! It's on it's way!

Just Like Heaven...

We went out to dinner tonight with the kids and when we were leaving the sky looked just like this. I turned to Vic and said, "OMG, It looks just like heaven, it's beautiful". Then he says to me, "How do you know what heaven looks like"? I said, "I don't know but it just does". What do you all think.... beautiful?
